Online Literary Auction to Fight Hunger
The auction is now over! We'll have an update next week on all the money raised.
Thanks to everyone who took part, and made it such a success, to help hungry people in Maine.

This holiday season, Islandport Press is honored to join forces with some wonderful authors, illustrators, artists, and the Maine Credit Union League in the fight against hunger in Maine. We have collected signed copies of 47 wonderful books and special items for our inaugural Online Literary Auction to raise money for the Credit Union's anti-hunger campaign. Unfortunately, such money is desperately needed. According to the Credit Union League, more than 40 percent of Maine kids under the age of 12 show some evidence of hunger, 19,375 Maine children are hungry, and an additional 64,087 children are at risk for hunger. In total, data shows that 12 percent of Maine households, representing 161,000 people, experience food insecurity. We hope you will help us achieve our goal of raising enough money during our five-day auction to buy $10,000 worth of food.
