ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Cynthia Reynolds is an eleventh-generation Maine native. She summers on Pleasant River Lake in Maine. The rest of the year she dreams of Maine from her home outside Ann Arbor, Michigan.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Jeannie Brett, who lives in York, Maine, has always lived near the ocean, from Hingham, Massachusetts to various ports in New Hampshire and Maine. She attended the School of Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Jeannie has worked as a designer and illustrator with local advertising agencies, and done educational illustrating and various commissioned artwork. Jeannie has illustrated many children's books, including Fishing for Numbers: A Maine Number Book. She is also the author and illustrator of Little Maine.
