About this Book:

The Maine Christmas Song was inspired by Bob Elliot, one of the state's most beloved storytellers and reporters. More than 20 years ago, he was reporting on the same old Christmas songs and how tired he was of hearing them year in, year out. He contacted musician and producer Con Fullam and asked him to write a new song about Christmas in Maine and a seasonal tradition was born.

On this special edition CD, you can hear The Maine Christmas Song's original 1987 version sung by Malinda Liberty, a new version done by the internationally acclaimed Windham Chamber Singers, and a French language version by the young Fort Kent, ME, singer Melanie Dorice Saucier.

Along with the Maine classic, holiday favorites by some of Maine's finest musicians, including Grammy Award winners Noel Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul and Mary) and Paul Sullivan, will delight listeners year after year.
