Clarke Canfield

Clarke Canfield

Clarke Canfield, a native of Boston, Mass., has despised the New York Yankees since birth. After watching the Red Sox beat the Yankees to win the American League pennant and then go on to win the 2004 World Series, he was inspired to write Those Damned Yankees. The book is a tribute to fans who waited years to see their team beat New York.

Canfield is a seasoned journalist who currently works for The Associated Press. He has previously held positions at daily newspapers in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Maine. He has worked as a magazine editor for a variety of publications, and also as a freelance writer. Canfield earned a degree from the University of Denver and a Master’s degree in journalism from Boston University. He now lives in South Portland, Maine, where he plays baseball with his son and roots against the Yankees.
