About the book
Ron Joseph grew up in central Maine, learning life lessons on his grandparent's dairy farm, and then spent more than thirty years working as a wildlife biologist. Bald Eagles, Bear Cubs, and Hermit Bill is a compilation of forty stories that range from his youth to his working life to profiles of the people he has met along the way.Joseph learned to drive a hay truck before turning ten, was once rescued by a hermit, spent time in remote lumber camps along the canadian border, and helped return eagles to the skies above Maine. The book includes an introduction by Paul Doiron, author of the Mike Bowditch series of Maine crime novels and former editor-in-chief of Down East magazine.
