About the book
Cynthia Thayer led a life rich in literature and the arts before meeting her husband Bill and moving to Maine to become an organic farmer more than four decades ago. Together, Bill and Cynthia built Darthia Farm in Hancock County, encompassing 250 acres of recaptured pasture, hay land, gardens, and a selectively managed woodlot. Thayer, who is also an accomplished spinner, is the author of three published novels: Strong for Potatoes, A Certain Slant of Light, and A Brief Lunacy. "
Cynthia Thayer and her late husband, Bill...helped to shape Downeast Maine’s organic farm community.... "We’re Going Home is the beautifully written story of building that life and of the untimely laying of Bill to rest." — The Maine Organic Farmer & Gardener
We're Going Home was a 2024 Maine Literary Awards Finalist. Please join us to meet the author and hear her talk about the story and the lives…
