About the book
This event series was envisioned as a way to continue the work of Dear Maine: The Trials and Triumps of Maine's 21st Century Immigrants, featuring and supporting Maine's immigrant community. Our panelists for the Immigrant Solidarity Project may or may not be amongst the pages of those featured in Dear Maine, but have been chosen for their unique perspective and contribution to our state. At ever event, we will be selling copies of Dear Maine, and a portion of proceeds are donated to a different, local non-profit each time. Additionally, in response to these challenging times, we are donating $5 per copy sold of Dear Maine to ILAP (Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project) through the rest of the summer, not just on event days.
